The Joomla gallery and slideshow component 2.13 was just released. The latest updated improved the component with some serious features and some bug fixes were also implemented.
Add your images from the server with ease. The new file browser added in the latest version, allows for several activities including browsing, searching, uploading, previewing and inserting images. You can also create folders.
Users choosing Joomla articles as the album source can select tags in the filtering options.
With the “Save as Copy” you can quickly create similar albums. Save your time, add multiple albums with the same configuration and avoid setting up everything from the beginning.
When browsing the component configuration, you’ll find the “Title limit” field in the “item elements options.” This feature allows you to set the number of characters in a slide title that will be shown in a slide description.
Limit the number of characters shown in the slide title’s tab. New field added in the “Tabber layout options” is purposed to determine the number of characters.
Component’s users can now add the metadata information that will be added to images.
The EXIF feature is already a standard used in digital photos. Defining the metadata, you enable reading relevant info about a given image.
In the left corner of the image appears a link, which is used to display data in the popup window. The user in the component options can specify how this information will look like, how it will be shown and in what order.
