I know, website aren't really meant to be printed. But, we need to make our site printable and we would like to swap to a different logo for printing. I've tried various solutions online about hacking templates/<templatename>/component.php, but nothing is working. I've looked at css/print.css too, but have been unsuccessful.

Any advice, besides not printing sites? Thanks!

Hi,

The component.php file is used when, for example, you want to print an article using the Joomla print button.

From your description, I assume that you want to print the whole page (CTRL + P or Command + P) instead of using the Joomla print button.
In this case, what comes to my mind is using the CSS print media query. You can use it to hide the current logo and display another logo as background.

@media print {
/* your styles go here */
}

Of course, this is just an example. You probably will need more styles to achieve that.
