Hi,

Previously I ordered JM-News-Portal. Now I am thinking about ordering JM-School-Tools. But I need some expert information that can take away my doubts.

My question: how far can I go with changing the colors of Joomla-Monster templates?

I'm really a beginner in CSS en we Joomla. Is it true that colors are only in the form of images or hex-codes in Joomla!-templates? Or are there other methods that you use in for instance JM-School-Tools?

I very much like to change the colors of: the four squares in the middle of the demo-site. The four buttons in the left column at the bottom of the demo-site. The blue bar at the top of the site.

The reason is I already have a house style and logos with my company in our own colors. Is it possible to completely adapt JM-School-Tools or is there a limit in changing the colors?

Thank you very much if you can answer me.

Greetings,
Tim

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us.
First of all, there are no limits in the template customization. You can replace all colors etc. with those you wish.

The JM-School-Tools is based on the LESS system. LESS extends CSS with dynamic behavior such as variables etc.
It means that color values (hex) for many template parts you can simply change in the template variables (everything in one file). More about how to modify LESS you will find out from this article:
www.joomla-monster.com/blog/joomla-templ...-joomla-3-0-template

If you would have a problem with changing some colors, you can ask us for the directions :)

Some parts of the template, eg. bottom edges of the middle modules, are created using images. We provide the PSD slices with the template, so you can easily change the image color using e.g. Photoshop and then replace the existing image. In the next few days we will release an article about on how to edit slices (for beginners).

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Regards,
Marcin
