Hi.

How to add 'child' custom field.

Example :

1) category : CAR

2) customfield-parent (Selectlist):

'Make' : AUDI / BMW / Honda / Mercedes / etc
so, I choose AUDI

3) customfield-child (Selectlist) :

'Model' : A1 / A3 / A4 / A5 <<< only AUDI model we have in the list.... (if you choose Honda in parent custom field, only Honda model appear in child custom field)

I hope you understand what I mean. Sorry for my broken english....

Hello,
I'm afraid you can not do this as custom fields without modifications. But you can assign custom fields to categories. You can add category 'Audi' and custom field 'Model' only for this category (and second Model field for different category). This should meet your needs.

Regards.

Thank you for your reply.

I also thinking of that method...

but I just ask 'if' it's can be done just using custom field. I think, it's more effective and can save more time if we can do that using custom field because we can just using semi colon to add category instead of create new category, assign parent, and save for each one of child category..... (hehe....I just count that just 1 parent category, I have to create 137 new child category.. )

I think if you can improve this feature for future buyer, it's will be more Awesome.... B)

Any way...Thank you... I will try to do just like your instruction...
