I have tried to test your quickstart

to check out the framework and see if the installer works. So I can move forward and start using your templates on customers site. But it does not work correctly Maybe you can help. I did this on a test domain ( clubmspa.com ) the front end looks ok but can’t log-into the backend does not work see screen shot attached ( clubmspa.com/administrator/index.php )

I'm not one of the developers but I just recently unpacked one of their quickstarts without a problem. I've put hundreds of Joomla sites together and it seems like 99% of the time I see a server 500 error, its about the .htaccess file on the server... You may check the .htaccess file on the server, try temporarily removing it and see if the error goes away. ... If it doesn't, start looking into other server settings but I'm bettin' its going to be something in the .htaccess file.

the .htaccess file what do I modify in it. I tried deleting it but still not working. I have installed quick set ups from all the main template clubs but this is not the way It should work, joomla-monster should just use Akeeba Backup to make the quick starts they always work/

I understand the frustration - but to be fair, what Joomla-Monster has done should - in theory - require less steps than unpacking with kickstart and then running the install. I don't know that unpacking with Akeeba would've had any effect on this issue. If changing/renaming or removing the .htaccess file has had no effect, the next file to look for is the php.ini file. These two files (.htaccess and php.ini) essentially hold the "server settings" for your hosting account. Its difficult to try to suggest changes to them without seeing them. There's alot of guides out there that explain the required settings for Joomla - in my experience most of the time it just works without worrying about it. I'm confident JM hasn't used anything that would require unusual settings.

A quick experiment that may help, rename the php.ini file temporarily and see if that has any effect. If it doesn't, check the permissions of the files on the server. I'll put a link below to an article on the permissions but essentially you're just trying to verify that files are 644 and folders are 755 ...
docs.joomla.org/Verifying_permissions

- Just thought of something else worth asking as well - When you unpacked the quickstart, you weren't unpacking it OVER TOP of an existing site were you? If you were to unpack over an existing site that could possibly create a number of other issues. ... If yes, was it a Joomla site and was it a much older version of Joomla maybe? Just brainstorming - but wanted to check to see if where you'd unpacked it had been empty prior to your starting.

In Akeeba if you go to the Config or settings and you can save it as a zip not as the default type. so no kickstart is needed saving a step. I think that they are making the quickstarts locally on their computers ont live on a server. Next step I extract the quickstart on the live server. but have to go to my_domain_name/installation to start the install. This is not normal with most backups or quickstarts. Most quickstart programs run in the root part of public_html not the installation folder. This server have already had Joomla sites installed so I know that's not the problem any server requirements . I will try the .htaccess and php.ini files to see if that may have an effect. I idea of a company develop both components and templates is a good thing. There is sometimes problems with templates that conflict with the look and use of components. That is why I'm trying to set up a new install of the template and framework. The photo up loader does not work from the front end for users to add listings in the Classifieds.

When I changed the permissions I can see the front end of the site but not the backend

The template packages look like a great deal and framework looks impressive but all is lost if they don't work. Thanks for your help

If correcting the permissions in the root folder helped on the frontend, doing the same thing in the /administrator/ folder should resolve the same issue with the administrator login...

Glad it helped and good luck with the project!
