to publish the site had the internal server error message , yet the solution was removed from the root directory the .htaccess file and the site worked as

I can make it work with the .htaccess file in the root directory?

before publishing the site rename the root folder , find out that you should not change the name and return to the original name but still have the same problem

Hello,

Could you describe your steps, please?
If you want to enable the URL rewriting option in global configuration of Joomla, then you should remember to rename the htaccess.txt file to .htaccess.

If you get an internal server error then you can try the following steps:

1) Make sure that mod_rewrite is installed on your server.
2) Edit the .htaccess file and find the following line:
# RewriteBase /
Replace it with the following line:
RewriteBase /
Enter the name of subdirectory if your installation is not located in root directory:
RewriteBase /sudirectory
3) Edit the .htaccess file and find the following line:
Options +FollowSymLinks
Replace it with the following line:
# Options +FollowSymLinks
4) If the above steps won't help you, please contact your hosting support for more details.
