How to change menus?

rduemmling created the topic: How to change menus?
I've used Joomla before but never a template like this one.. I'm very confused as to how to change the menus? I installed the sample data but it doesn't appear to be pulling from the Joomla Menu manager, but something else.. How do I add content to the menus in this theme? How do I remove the DJCatalog2 from the menu?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated, I drove myself wild trying to figure it out today.

Hi,

Here are my answers below:
1. The menu is placed at "dj-menu-top" template position.
Check here all tempalte positions -> www.joomla-monster.com/knowledge-base-ar...macy/template-layout

So if you would like to change it, have to enable other module on "dj-menu-top" position.
It's dj-menu module, not Joomla menu.

2. " I installed the sample data but it doesn't appear to be pulling from the Joomla Menu manager, but something else.."
Navigate Extensions -> Menu Manager and select dj-menu-top position from the positions list to display the module.

3. "How do I add content to the menus in this theme? "
content to the menu? please explain

4. "How do I remove the DJCatalog2 from the menu?"
Hanve to check which Joomla menu DJ-Menu module uses and then go to Menu -> the appropriate menu and disable/delete menu

Points 2,3,4 do not relate to the template but Joomla management.

I also suggest reading the template documentation:
www.joomla-monster.com/knowledge-base-ar...mplates/general-info

I figured it out :-) forgot to take a look at the modules. Now I just need to fix DJ-Images Slider so that the images are centered, not left aligned.

Thanks for the template layout locations guide! That will come in handy!

Hi,

Check module parameters of dj-imageslider, I also suggest learning more here -> dj-extensions.com/documentation/dj-imageslider/ here about this extension.

I do not know details regarding the configuration you want to achieve but:
1. you can load wider image
or
2. if you want to change the code you can modificate it in template-namecss/modules.css on line 539:
.djslider li {
text-align: left;
}

Tried changing the settings in the module and it didn't seem to reflect what I wanted it to do - line 539 in the CSS did it though! Thanks again! :-)
