I feel like this should be easy and obvious, but I cannot figure out how to get content into the Top module position. Do I create an article? If so, how do I get the article into the top position and choose which column to put it in? Thanks so much for the "JM-Business-Marketing for Dummies"! :lol:

Hi :)

Here you can check all template forsitions -> www.joomla-monster.com/knowledge-base-ar...ting/template-layout

To modificate cont5ent into modules that are assigned to "top" position, navigate Extensions -> Module Manager , then choose from selectbox "Select position" the "top" position name and then you will get all modules that are assigned to this position.

The edit the module and change the text in the editor.

I did successfully add content to the Top position, but I still can't figure out how the demo site gets the content in the Top position into columns. I also would like to have a different background color just for the top position to make it stand out. I looked at the layout.css but didn't see where to add that customization in. If anyone can help with these two topics I would be VERY appreciative.

Hello,

We use a php code to display modules in columns.
On the "top" position you can display up to 4 modules in a row. If you display e.g. 5 modules, there will be 4 modules in the first row and 1 module in the second row (100% width).

The background for the "top" module area you can add for the #jm-top element in the layout.css file (templates/jm-business-marketing/css) in the line ~91th as follows:

#jm-top {background: #ccc;}

Regards,
Marcin
