JM-Books template is a new release of School & Education category. I would like to describe most important extensions the template usues. The main template's menu located at the top is DJ-Menu - a standard menu, which many our templates use. The header image is placed in the custom module, which means that it can be easily replacable. Just go to Module Manager and edit a module at "header" position. Then enter the proper path to your image. The dimensions of the header container aren't constant, so you can set here images of any height. See here all modules' positions. On our demo website of this template, you can see DJ-Catalog introduced here - component, which allows you to segregate books in a categories, optionally set books' prices and add as many images as you wish. What is more, the component works with 3 modules - DJ-Categories ( e.g. list of authors ), DJ-Producers ( e.g. categories selector ), DJ-Frontpage ( slideshow of books ) . Read the detailed description and requirements of the component here. The next interesting extension is DJ-NewsTicker module, which is implemented as "Be Up-To-Date" . The module rotetes articles from a selected category. The template logo - "Books" is implemented here as a module position. Just edit this custom module and enter your name. Note that this position uses cufon font, which means that every word set here will be transformed by the Goldy Open font. Other cufon replacements are set for titles of modules and articles. All files for cufon fonts are located in template's directory in jm-books/lib/js But dj_head.php file ( jm-books/lib/php/ ) you will find some code which includes all cufon java scripts and transform titles: <script src="/<?php echo $dj_path; ?>lib/js/cufon-yui.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="/<?php echo $dj_path; ?>lib/js/Gilead_TT_EFN_400.font.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="/<?php echo $dj_path; ?>lib/js/Goldy_Open_TT_EFN_400.font.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> Cufon.DOM.ready(function() { Cufon.replace('#header-mod h3, h3.title, .componentheading, .contentheading, .componentheader, #user1 h3, #user2 h3, #catalog h3, #catalog h2', {hover: true, fontFamily: 'Gilead TT EFN' }); Cufon.replace('#logo', { fontFamily: 'Goldy Open TT EFN' }); }); </script> The above description can be very usful if you want to modify cufon fonts. Of course, remember about styles for transformed parts, which give a size of fonts, colors etc. Read more about cufon here. See all template's features here. |
